It's Payback Time...


... Since before and after The Living Planet we have been celebrating nature by bringing its wonders to the TV screens all over the world. Now that world is changing, faster and faster, and that world needs help. Films can do that, at local level, be it with decision makers in the government or in the village.

So far wildlife television has been mainly a user of the natural world. It's now in debt and must repay its benefactor in as many ways as possible.

We must reach people on the ground-not just millions of distant viewers who seldom help what they admire and enjoy.


worked in the BBC Natural History Unit for 35 years and after was the maker of 100 films on wildlife and people, shown on TV in 56 countries around the world.
